Designed for ferrets and excellent for rats and chinchillas. This all metal cage has no plastic parts, so chewing will not be a problem. The cage has three floors top two are mesh and bottom floor is a steel tray with a mesh top which is removable , with separate inwards opening doors for levels 1 and 2 and access through the hinged roof for level 3. The dimensions are 42” high, 17” wide and 27” long approximately 5 cubic feet , and the gross internal floor space is approximately 10 sq ft. This makes it ideal at giving adequate living space where room is at a premium. This cage should be great for up to three medium sized rats. The wire mesh on the floors is 1cm x 1cm, anything larger would again risk legs becoming stuck.
