And we want to make shopping fun. Shopping's more fun with friends - we want to provide a nice place to meet and talk about shopping, and we hope you'll meet some new friends along the way. What isn't Fruugo?We're not a shop of our own. We don't sell anything ourselves, we don't have a warehouse or an inventory. Everything you see at Fruugo is sold by independent retailers. We're simply a place for you to shop and for retailers to sell and for people to meet. Oh yeah - we don't charge you for it, either. There's no membership fee to join Fruugo, and you don't pay any additional charges when you buy. The price you see is the price you pay! Joining FruugoJoining Fruugo is quick, simple, and, best of all, absolutely free. Once you are a Fruugo member, there are so many more things that you can do at Fruugo: create your own profile, like and dislike products, write comments, follow your friends at Fruugo to see what they are into, and more. You should also choose to receive the latest new from Fruugo to be among the first ones to hear about promotions, discounts, free shipping campaigns and new products at Fruugo. To join just click Join in the top right corner of the Fruugo pages and fill in a short registration form. Logging in to FruugoTo log in to Fruugo enter your e-mail and password, associated with your Fruugo account, and click the Log in button on the login screen. Forgot your password?If you can't remember your Fruugo password, click Forgot your password? link on the log in screen. Enter your e-mail address and we will send you instructions on how to obtain a new password within minutes. Follow the link in the e-mail to create a new Fruugo password. After you do so, you can log in to Fruugo with a new password. Software requirements for browsing FruugoThe following web browsers are supported by the Fruugo webshop and offer the best shopping experience at Fruugo: Your browser must accept cookies in order for you to be able to place orders successfully. In addition to that, support for JavaScript should be activated in your browser to display certain Fruugo features. The recommended screen resolution is at least 1024 × 768 pixels. Adobe Flash player is recommended, but not necessary. Shopping at FruugoDiscovering products | Viewing search results | Viewing product details | Comparing products | Placing products in a shopping cart | Purchasing products | Accepted payment methods & tax informationDiscovering productsYou can search for products at Fruugo from almost any page of the website. Just enter a keyword (for example, shoes), click the search button (it's the one with a cute little magnifying glass icon), and we show you all products that match your search. You can enter an additional keyword to make your search more specific (for example, running shoes), and we refine search results further. You could also browse Fruugo's departments visible in the All departments list. Once you are inside one of the departments, you can search within this department. Usually it makes finding precisely what you're looking for easier and quicker. Make sure to browse through the offers shown in the promotional area of the front page and the department pages. Each department has department-specific offers ongoing all the time, such as free gifts with a purchase from a specific retailer or a free shipping campaign on certain products. This is the best way to discover hottest deals and latest products at Fruugo. Viewing search resultsAll products that match your search are listed on the Search results page. You can choose the amount of items shown per page or have them all listed on a single page. To make it easier for you to find exactly what you need you can refine all products by: The search results list contains only concise information about the products. Usually, there are more colours, sizes, or product variants available than what you can see from the search results page. To see all the information about the product, including a list of retailers who ship the product, all available product variants, pictures, description, user comments, and more, click the product name or picture. Viewing product detailsProduct details page contains product description, pictures, retailers' details, user comments, shows how this product is connected to other Fruugo users – who likes, dislikes or owns it – and all the product variants like colours and sizes. If there are several product variants available, you will see a list on the left-hand side of the product page. Click through the variants to read more about each of them. Product variants can differ by size, colour, or retailer who sells them. Prices for product variants and shipping cost usually differ as well. We check variants' prices and shipping costs to determine the cheapest option which is always listed on top of the list. If a variant is out of stock, its name is shown in grey. We always try to display the product description in your main language. If it's not available, we'll go with the second best option and display the description in one of the secondary languages that you indicated in your language preferences. You can also use machine translation to translate product description to your preferred language, just click Translate visible above the product description. To go back to the original version, click Back to original version. You can open a larger view of the product picture by clicking it and navigate between the available pictures by selecting picture thumbnails in the bottom of the pop-up window. If you'd like to share your thoughts about a product, or give others a useful hint on its usage - leave a comment about the product. Did you like the product? Show your affection by clicking the "thumb up" icon. If the product didn't quite meet your expectations, click "thumb down". Products you like and dislike will show in your profile (you have to be a registered Fruugonian to have your own profile). Comparing productsIt is very handy to compare the properties of several items by placing them to the comparison list. Select items for comparison by clicking the add to comparison icon. You can do that on any page where the products are listed, as well as on the product details page. The item is added to the comparison list and you can continue browsing. To enter your comparison list, click the icon on top of the Fruugo pages. We store the contents of the comparison list only during your session. Adding products to the shopping cartTo add a product to your shopping cart you should select the variant (if applicable), the desired size and colour (if applicable), enter product quantity, and click Add to cart. The product goes to your shopping cart and you can view and modify it at any time before you proceed to checkout. We store your shopping cart contents for 90 days and automatically update products' prices and stock information to keep it up-to-date during this time. Proceed to checkout to purchase the products you've collected in your shopping cart. It is not necessary to be a registered user to place an order at Fruugo, but having an account helps place orders quicker and makes it easier to track your orders and view your order history. Purchasing productsCheckout includes four simple steps: log in, delivery, payment, and confirmation. We send you a notification e-mail with compete order details once you place an order. Signing inSign in to Secure Shopping with your e-mail address and your Fruugo password if you are a registered user. Otherwise, just click Proceed to checkout in the I'm new here box. Selecting a delivery methodEnter your delivery address by filling in the applicable fields. The fields that don't apply can be left blank, but all the fields marked with an asterisk are mandatory. If you have previously entered an address or multiple addresses at the checkout, you can simply select the address you wish to use for the current order. If you'd like to have the order shipped to a new address, click Add a new delivery address. You can edit, delete or enter new delivery addresses at a later time. Please note that we are not able to deliver orders to PO Box addresses, hotels or hostels. See full listing of the territories we don't deliver to under Delivery address restrictions. Select a delivery method you wish to use for your order. The shipping costs are updated automatically depending on the delivery method you choose. Click Continue to payment once ready. Selecting a payment methodPayment methods vary from country to country. Fruugo strives to bring you the payment methods that you are accustomed to when shopping in your local webshops. For instance, in Finland we offer direct bank transfers from the major banks such as Nordea, OP and Sampo, while in the Netherlands we bring you the iDEAL payment method. Select the payment method you'd like to use from available options: Confirming the orderOnce you make the selection, click Place your order. You will enter the necessary payment details on the next page and your payment method of choice will be charged once you submit the payment details. Should you decide to return the products later on, the refund will be issued to the same source that you used to purchase the order initially. If this is not possible, the refund is issued to your bank account. For more information, see Returns & Refunds. Once you place your order, we forward each part of the order to the respective retailers for processing. We expect all retailers to maintain a high level of customer service: keeping you notified of shipping and delivery times, delays, or any other information related to your order. The retailers start processing your order within minutes. You will receive a separate e-mail confirmation once each of the retailers you ordered from confirms and ships your order. Retailers may have to cancel your order, for instance, if a product or products you ordered happen to be out of stock. In case retailer cancels your order or a part of your order, we refund you for the price of the cancelled product(s) as soon as possible. If you have any questions don't hesitate to contact Fruugo customer care. Please include the order number to help us identify and solve the problem as quickly as possible. The order number is visible on the final page of the checkout process and in the e-mail confirmation that you receive after placing the order. The order you have just placed, the detailed order information and its status can be viewed under My profile → My orders if you are a registered Fruugo member. Accepted payment methods & tax informationPayment methods vary from country to country. Fruugo strives to bring you the payment methods that you are accustomed to when shopping in your local webshops. For instance, in Finland we offer direct bank transfers from the major banks such as Nordea, OP and Sampo, while in the Netherlands we bring you the iDEAL payment method. At Fruugo, you can generally use the following payment methods: All product prices displayed at Fruugo include value added tax (VAT). When placing an order, you can see the total price including VAT as well as the VAT portion of the total price in a separate row. Fruugo ensures that the product price includes the correct VAT rate: Fruugo complies with the VAT regulations set forth by the European Union and by local rules and regulations of the countries in question. Viewing & tracking your ordersViewing your orders | Modifying or cancelling your order | Tracking your ordersViewing your ordersYou can view a list of all orders you've placed at Fruugo under My profile → My orders. My orders page lists all your orders along with detailed information about each one of them. The status of all orders is updated as the changes take place and is visible to you at all times. We also keep you posted by sending an e-mail every time the status of an order changes, for instance, when "confirmed" changes to "shipped" and so on. Your order history under My orders is divided into the following groups: Modifying or cancelling your orderAn order can be cancelled prior to being shipped. It is not possible to modify an order once you've placed it. You can check the status of the order in question under My profile → My orders. If you wish to cancel an order, please contact Fruugo customer care for assistance. If you have already received a shipping confirmation e-mail for the order in question, please let us know about your wish to return your order, or a part of the order, within 14 days after it has been delivered to you by sending an e-mail to customercare@fruugo.com. The price of the order will be refunded to you as soon as the retailer receives the products you return. For more information on returns, see Returns & Refunds. Tracking your ordersYou can track an order at the logistics service provider's website using a package tracking code. You can find the tracking code and the website URL either in the shipping confirmation e-mail or at My orders page. Follow the link to the logistics service provider's website and enter the tracking code to check the location of your package. Fruugo retailers are responsible for packing and shipping your orders. Generally they use different logistics service providers and various shipping methods. Tracking may be unavailable for the orders shipped using a non-trackable delivery method. The delivery times and shipping prices may vary depending on the retailer's location and the selected delivery method. You can select one of the following delivery methods: We'll send you a shipping confirmation e-mail immediately after the order is handed for transportation. You can also check the order status at My profile → My orders. Please allow additional shipping time for deliveries at exceptional locations that are hard to reach. Calculation of shipping feesThe shipping cost depends on the destination country, delivery method, and retailer's location. Shipping prices for the products at Fruugo are determined by the retailers who sell them. The shipping costs for the products that you browse at Fruugo are based on the country you have selected under My profile → Privacy & settings if you are a registered user, or the country that you set through the language and country interface. The product selection, product prices and applied tax also vary from country to country. Please make sure to set the correct country - the country you live in and to which you intend to have the products shipped. Changing the destination countryTo see product shipping costs for a different country other than the one you have selected previously, simply change the country either at My profile → Privacy & settings or through the language and country interface. Once you change your country, shipping costs for all products that you browse at Fruugo are calculated based on the new country. If you place an order, it is no longer possible to change the destination country or the delivery address for the order. Delivery address restrictionsPlease note that certain restrictions related to your delivery address apply. Unfortunately, we are not able to deliver orders to PO Box addresses, hotels or hostels. Additionally, currently Fruugo retailers do not deliver to the following United Kingdom territories: Returns & RefundsReturning products | Refund issue & processing timesReturning productsWe do our best to ensure that the products that you order are delivered to you in full and according to your specifications. However, should you receive an incomplete order, or items different from the ones you ordered, or there is some other reason why you are not satisfied with the order, you may return the order, or any products included in the order, and receive a full refund for the items. Certain products purchased at Fruugo cannot be returned. They fall in the following categories: Remember that the products you wish to return must be in their original condition with all the accessories in place. Keep in mind that the retailer reserves the right to refuse the returned products and send them back to your address if the products violate the returns policy. Announcing a returnLet us know about your wish to return an order, or some of the products included in the order, within 14 days after it has been delivered to you by sending an e-mail to customercare@fruugo.com. Include at lest the following information: Our customer care will send you specific instructions on how to ship the return package(s) to the retailer(s). Please, do not ship the return package before you receive the instructions. Please note that if you are returning a heavy (over 20 kg) or a large product that requires special handling, make sure to mention it in the e-mail to Fruugo customer care so that we can help you arrange an appropriate return transportation option. Also note that when returning a heavy or a large item that requires special handling, you are responsible for covering the return transportation costs. Additionally, if you are returning a high-value product or products whose value is 1500 EUR / GBP (15000 SEK) or above, our customer care will advise you on a suitable shipping method. It is generally required that you use registered mail and insure the high-value package, since neither Fruugo nor retailer take responsibility for shipments that are lost or damaged during return transportation. Shipping products back to retailersIf you are returning products to several retailers, you should distribute the products accordingly among separate boxes to prepare them for shipping. You should send the products to those retailers who shipped them to you initially. For instance, if your order contains 6 products in total, including 2 products from retailer X and 4 products from retailer Y and you wish to return all of the items, you should send out two packages. One package should contain 2 products from retailer X and should be shipped to retailer X return address; the other package should contain 4 items from retailer Y, and should be shipped to retailer Y return address. When you hand the return package for return shipment, please ask for receipt and keep it for future reference. Fruugo can start processing the refund only after the goods reach the retailer and are accepted. The sooner you make the return - the sooner you will be refunded. We will notify you by e-mail once the products reach the retailer and are accepted for return. Unless a product or products you wish to return arrived to you damaged or faulty, you are responsible for the return transportation costs. Also note that when returning a heavy (over 20 kg) or a large item that requires special handling, you are responsible for covering the return transportation costs. On the bright side, when you return all products from a specific retailer included in your order, we will refund the original shipping costs you paid for the delivery. Check Refund issue & processing times for details. Damaged deliveriesIf you receive a damaged, broken, or defective product, please notify Fruugo customer care as soon as possible. Include at least the following information: We will generally instruct you to ship the damaged product back to the retailer. As soon as it reaches the retailer, they will send you a new or repaired product. If the replacement can't be made, or if you wish to cancel the deal altogether, let us know, and you will receive a full refund for the price of the item. Fruugo can start processing the refund only after the goods reach the retailer and are accepted. The sooner you make the return - the sooner you will be refunded or the sooner the replacement item will be shipped to you. If it happens so that the outer packaging of your order is clearly damaged on arrival, and you are suspecting that the products are damaged as well, you can reject the delivery and notify Fruugo customer care about it. The replacement will be sent to you as soon as possible, but not sooner than the package reaches the retailer. Refund issue & processing timesAs soon as the retailer receives the return package and verifies that the returned products comply with the instructions given above, you will receive an e-mail confirmation that your return has been accepted. Immediately after that Fruugo starts processing the refund for the items you've returned. The original shipping costs you paid for the order delivery will be refunded if you are returning all items your ordered from a particular retailer. For instance, if you ordered 3 products from retailer X and 2 from retailer Y and you now wish to return 3 products to retailer X, we will refund the shipping costs you paid for the delivery of products you ordered from the retailer X. In case you are returning a part of your order, the original shipping costs are retained to cover retailer's shipping and handling expenses. Depending on the payment method initially used to purchase the order, the refund may be issued in several different ways. Refunds can only be issued to the same source that you used to purchase the products initially. For instance if you paid with a credit card, the refund will be placed to your credit card. If you paid using an online bank transfer, the refund will be issued to your bank account. The availability of the money on your credit card or bank account largely depends on how quickly your bank processes the refund operation. It may take from 5 to 30 business days. Managing My profileManaging personal information | Your profile | Setting your language preferences | Changing your password | Managing ordersManaging personal informationGo to My profile → Privacy & settings. Personal details contains all the basic information about you: your name, last name, screen name, gender, your e-mail address and your photo (if you uploaded one). Your public profile shows your screen name and profile image. To check out what your social profile looks like, click See how others see you. We store your personal details in a secure way and will never share them with any third parties. You can come back later and edit your Personal details, except for your screen name - it is chosen once and for all - and your e-mail address which is the primary identified of your account in Fruugo. The Location and language tab of your profile holds you country and language settings. You can change them at any time. Your location and understood languages are also visible to other Fruugonians when they view your public profile. Your profileYour profile is a social part of Fruugo. Here you can collect the stuff you own, products you like and don't like and check out what your followers and the people you follow are doing at Fruugo. Other Fruugonians can view your page to find out what products you like and see some general information about you, such as your screen name, country where you come from, and the languages you speak. They can even start following you, while you can follow others, too. You can see all the people you follow and people who follow you under My entourage in your profile. You can also view what they've been up to under Recent activity in your profile. My conversations is a place where you can see all the product comments you've posted so far and check the messages posted to your profile page by other Fruugonians. It's a great place to have discussions around products, or anything else for that matter. My products part of your profile shows all the products that you liked, disliked or marked as yours. Have you already bought something at Fruugo, or own something that we sell? Add it to the products I own list in your profile! Just browse Fruugo products and click I own this! when you see something you own. Similarly, if you click thumb up or thumb down to rate a product, it will show in your social profile under My products. Setting your language preferencesYou can set your main language and the secondary languages that you understand under My profile → Location and language. The secondary languages will be used, for instance, if the product information in your main language happens to be unavailable. Alternatively, the language preferences can be set through the country / language link in the upper right-hand side corner of the Fruugo pages. Changing your passwordYou can change your Fruugo password under My profile → Privacy & settings → Change password. Simply enter your current password and your new password and click Update. The next time you log in to Fruugo, make sure to use the new password. If you happen to forget your password, you can easily obtain a new one from the login page. Managing ordersGo to My profile → My orders. Here you can view a complete history of your orders and check the status of the recently placed orders. Privacy & SecurityPayments security | Private information protectionPayments securityBefore you can make a purchase at Fruugo, you are taken to the Secure Shopping zone. From that point onwards, the session is encrypted. Fruugo uses TLS (Transport Layer Security) protocol with strong encryption mechanisms to secure transmission of your credit card details during the checkout process. Private information protectionWe highly value your privacy and take good care of your personal information. We securely store all your private data, so that you can be sure that no one else will be able to view or modify your personal data or any information related to your activity in Fruugo. Fruugo guarantees that we will never share your information with any third parties.
Fruugo will never ask you for your username and password in an e-mail communication. Likewise, we will never ask you for your personal information, credit card number, credit card security code (CVV/CVC), social security number, or any other confidential information through e-mail. Sometimes you may receive e-mails that look like they were sent by Fruugo, while, in fact, they are falsified. Most often, such e-mails instruct you to send your login details or other private information in reply to the message. Do not provide your login details under any circumstances. Your private information might be stolen and used to commit fraud. We highly recommend you to store your Fruugo login details in a safe place and not to share them with anyone. If you suspect fraud or e-mail spoofing, please contact Fruugo customer care immediately. |
