This peat-free soil is suitable for plants such as lemons, oranges, olives, oleanders, and lavender, offering them excellent stability in containers. Organic components retain moisture and nutrients, supporting a consistent supply for the plants. The soil quickly reabsorbs water even after dry periods and can be evenly moistened even after drying out completely. Even with frequent watering, the soil remains loose and doesn't compact. Natural clay minerals ensure sufficient oxygen reaches the roots, which is particularly important for citrus plants. At the same time, the loose structure allows excess water to drain away quickly, thus preventing waterlogging. Because the surface dries rapidly, it makes it difficult for fungus gnats and soil-borne fungi to establish themselves. NeudoHum potting soils combine peat-free raw materials with a loose substrate structure. Instead of peat, Neudorff uses rapidly renewable raw materials. Instructions for use: Preparation: The ideal time for repotting is spring. Remove soil from the package and loosen it before use. Repotting: Planting the container. Choose a new pot that is 2-5 cm larger than the previous container. It must have drainage holes. Place a drainage layer of gravel, expanded clay, or plant granules at the bottom. Then fill the container about one-third full with soil. Remove the plant from the old pot. Soaking it beforehand will help. Loosen the root ball, remove dead or damaged roots, and shake off as much of the old soil as possible. Place the plant in the center of the new pot. Fill the pot with soil around the roots and press down lightly. Fill the container only to about 1 cm below the rim. This prevents water from overflowing when watering.
