Constructed from metal housing for robust thermal management, it features a compact design secured via four 3mm mounting screws and uses solderless terminals for quick, reliable wiring. Operating frequency is 150kHz; quiescent current is just 15mA at 12–20V input. Designed for ambient temperatures from –40°C to +85°C — active heat dissipation is recommended when sustained output exceeds 15A or when input-output voltage differential is large. Core protections include overcurrent limiting (adjustable down to minimum 5A output upon trip), dual short-circuit protection (20A input fuse + internal circuitry), and output backflow prevention — eliminating the need for external blocking diodes during charging applications. Note: no built-in reverse polarity protection on input; external diode recommended if required. Two modules may be connected in parallel to support higher output current (e.g., up to ~30A combined), with per-module current limit adjustable to 15A.
