1St cutting timothy hay

Are you trying to determine the most suitable hay for your furry companion? Look no further than 1st cutting Timothy Hay, which is incredibly rich in fiber compared to other cuts. Unlike the later cuts, it is less calorie-dense but contains more delightful flowery heads that small animals simply adore. This hay variety is slightly less soft than 2nd and 3rd cutting and is specifically recommended for animals with chronic GI/digestive tract issues, those needing dental wear, or those aiming to shed a few pounds.Don't worry if 1st cutting Timothy Hay appears lighter green with some yellow or brown tones; this is a natural outcome as the grass matures and grows taller, and it poses no harm to your pet. Remember, hay is a natural product. At Small Pet Select, we are hay experts through and through. With longstanding relationships with numerous hay farmers in Washington State and over 30 years of connections, we bring you the finest hay available.
