20A Precision Buck Converter Module

A precision-oriented DC-DC buck converter module capable of 0.2–20A constant-current output and fully adjustable voltage, accepting 6–40V DC input. Built on a rigid PCB, it employs dual 75V/80A MOSFETs for high-current integrity and thermal resilience. Switching occurs at 150 kHz, balancing efficiency and component size. Verified efficiency: 96% at 24V→12V/20A. Output ripple remains around 50mV (24V input, 20MHz bandwidth), achieved through purpose-selected high-frequency, low-impedance electrolytic capacitors. Voltage is adjusted via a calibrated potentiometer (clockwise = higher, counterclockwise = lower). Short-circuit protection triggers instantly, and constant-current mode holds set amperage—but long-duration shorts may cause overheating. Rated ambient temperature: -10°C to +75°C. MOSFETs must be kept below 65°C; fan cooling is advised for continuous 20A operation. Connection method: screw terminals. Widely deployed in high-power LED drivers, multi-voltage battery charging (Li-ion, LiFePO₄, NiCd, NiMH), solar and wind DC regulation, and portable power solutions.
