3.5 Inch Copper Tree Killing Nails Kit

This kit contains 25 specialised nails engineered for gradual, site-specific tree stump suppression. Physical specs: 23 copper nails and 1 stainless steel nail are 3.5 inches (≈8.9 cm) long with 3.5 mm diameter; the cobalt drill bit nail is 2.7 inches (≈6.9 cm) × 3.5 mm. Material rationale: copper’s electrochemical activity supports slow-release ionisation in moist wood environments; stainless steel guarantees dimensional stability and resistance to atmospheric corrosion; cobalt-enhanced high-speed steel delivers superior abrasion resistance during rotary or percussive drilling. The application protocol is grounded in arboricultural principles — copper ions interfere with lignin polymerisation and ATPase enzymes in meristematic cells, halting secondary growth and promoting internal desiccation. Users begin by outlining the stump’s outer edge, marking insertion points with the stainless nail, drilling shallow pilot channels with the cobalt bit, then embedding copper nails at ~2 inch intervals along the perimeter. This perimeter-driven strategy avoids central drilling, preserving stump integrity for later removal while disabling radial expansion and root regeneration capacity.
