A dedicated DC surge protection solution for photovoltaic installations, rated for continuous operation at up to DC1000V with dual-pole configuration. It offers a nominal discharge current of 20kA and can handle transient surges up to 40kA (8/20 μs). Constructed from durable, flame-retardant PC plastic, the unit resists wear and maintains structural integrity over decades of service. Its modular layout ensures straightforward installation and convenient module-level servicing. With an IP20 ingress protection rating, it is suited for protected indoor environments such as solar AC/DC distribution panels. The device functions reliably between -40°C and +80°C and performs consistently in humid conditions up to 90% RH (at 25°C average). Installation uses widely adopted 35mm DIN rail mounting, enabling direct fitment into standard UK solar consumer units and combiner boxes.
