40x12cm Solid Rubberwood Decorative Applique

Size: 40 cm (width) × 12 cm (height) × 0.9 cm (depth). Weight: Approximately 200 g — lightweight enough for wall-safe mounting yet substantial enough to convey quality. Material: Solid rubber wood — a renewable hardwood with Janka hardness ~960 lbf, offering greater dent resistance than pine (690 lbf) and more carving stability than poplar (540 lbf). Grain orientation: Vertical alignment relative to height maximises strength along mounting axis. Carving fidelity: Each unit undergoes post-carve visual inspection — motifs show continuous line flow, symmetrical balance, and uniform background depth. No visible tool chatter, burn marks or incomplete cuts. Edges are chamfered slightly to prevent chipping during handling or installation. Intended use: Primarily for aesthetic elevation — applied to flat-faced furniture (e.g., sideboards, bookshelves), vertical surfaces (mirror surrounds, door stiles), or horizontal accents (mantelpiece fronts, table aprons). Works best where ambient light falls across the plane to accentuate carved relief.
