53mm Adjustable Needle Espresso Distributor Tool

53mm outer diameter; 10 stainless steel needles, each 25mm long and independently adjustable. Weight: approx. 85g. Ergonomic handle provides secure grip and controlled downward pressure. Designed for repeated contact with coffee oils and cleaning agents — resistant to corrosion and staining. Compatible only with 53mm portafilter baskets. Grounds distribution occurs before tamping, and this tool ensures every millimetre of the basket receives equal attention. The 10-needle layout covers ~92% of the basket surface area in a single pass, far exceeding coverage of 3–5 needle alternatives. This comprehensive coverage reduces reliance on post-distribution adjustments or re-tamps. Used daily in UK-based specialty cafés for its ability to stabilise extraction under variable conditions — humidity changes, bean age, or grinder wear. Home users report improved shot repeatability when experimenting with lighter roasts or lower doses, where puck integrity is most vulnerable. Also adopted by roasters for internal cupping consistency checks and equipment validation tests.
