5L Press-Seal Fermentation Storage Jar

Measuring 23.5 × 16.5 × 19.5 cm and holding 5 litres, this fermentation container is built for durability and functional precision. Its body combines food-grade polypropylene (PP) and high-impact polystyrene (HIPS), with a stainless steel press disc and food-grade silicone sealing ring. The press sits directly on top of the fermenting contents, applying gentle, even pressure to keep vegetables fully submerged in brine — a fundamental requirement for successful vegetable fermentation. The transparent walls allow continuous visual assessment of gas production, clarity and sediment formation. The lid locks securely into place with a tight silicone seal, minimising oxygen ingress. Despite its generous capacity, the slim vertical profile ensures compatibility with most domestic refrigerators across the UK and Europe. All plastic components are dishwasher safe, and the smooth inner surface prevents food adhesion and simplifies rinsing between uses.
