7 Inch Cast Iron Grill Press

7 inch round cast iron grill press with solid uncoated cast iron face and natural wooden handle. Weighs approximately 1.8 kg (4 lbs) and measures 7 inches (17.8 cm) in diameter. The heavy, flat plate ensures full surface contact for even heat transfer and consistent searing. Designed for use on stovetops, cast iron skillets, griddles, flat grills, and outdoor grills. The uncoated cast iron develops natural seasoning over time, enhancing food release and long-term durability. Wooden handle provides a secure, comfortable grip while reducing heat transfer during typical cooking tasks. The press delivers firm, uniform pressure to flatten burgers, suppress bacon curling, compress paninis, seal quesadillas, and sear steaks or vegetables evenly. Its broad 7-inch coverage accommodates standard burger patties and multiple bacon strips simultaneously. Preheating the press briefly on the cooking surface before use strengthens sear formation. After use, hand wash, dry thoroughly, and apply a light coat of oil to maintain seasoning and prevent rust. Avoid exposing the wooden handle to direct flame or prolonged oven heat. Ideal for weekday breakfasts (bacon, eggs), lunchtime sandwiches and quesadillas, and weekend grilling (burgers, flank steak, zucchini or peppers). Works seamlessly with traditional cast iron cookware and modern flat-top griddles alike.
