8-Channel Optocoupler Isolation Board

This optocoupler isolation board is available in 2-channel, 4-channel, and 8-channel configurations, with compact dimensions of approximately 38×29 mm (1.5×1.14 in), 48×38 mm (1.89×1.5 in), or 84×38 mm (3.31×1.5 in). Constructed with plastic housing, it supports input signal voltages from 3.6 V to 24 V and delivers isolated output voltages from 3.6 V to 30 V. Each channel provides up to 10 mA drive current, with total power remaining constant — voltage and current are inversely proportional. Individual power indicators and jumper-cap configurable terminals allow flexible input/output assignment per channel. The module uses PC817-type optocouplers for reliable photoelectric isolation and is compatible with I²C interfaces for seamless integration into embedded systems. Core functionality includes galvanic signal isolation between microcontrollers (e.g., 3.3 V or 5 V logic) and higher-voltage industrial circuits (e.g., 12 V sensors, 24 V PLCs, or 30 V motor drivers). It enables safe level-shifting and noise suppression in environments prone to electrical interference. Typical use cases include robotics motor control isolation, adapting 24 V industrial inputs to 5 V Arduino/Raspberry Pi systems, monitoring 12 V automotive sensor outputs in diagnostic tools, and home or industrial automation signal conditioning where ground-loop elimination and voltage domain separation are critical.
