9cm Pure Copper Stump Elimination Nails

All 12 copper nails are precisely 9 cm (3.5 inches) long and 3.5 mm thick, manufactured from solid pure copper — not plated or alloyed — ensuring consistent ion release and corrosion resistance. The supplementary stainless steel nail matches these dimensions for uniform pilot work, while the cobalt drill bit nail is slightly shorter at 6.8 cm (2.7 inches) but shares the same 3.5 mm shank for seamless transition between drilling and nailing steps. Materials were selected for field performance: pure copper does not oxidise into non-bioactive patina as rapidly as lower-purity variants; stainless steel avoids galling during repeated hammer strikes; cobalt-enriched steel retains hardness above 600°C, resisting softening during friction-heavy drilling. Application requires placing pilot holes in a circular pattern around the stump’s outer edge, followed by full insertion of copper nails to expose maximum surface area to sap flow — promoting sustained ion diffusion over 4–12 weeks depending on species and moisture conditions.
