The story is based on events surrounding the american casino industry and a government agent who inadvertently discovers information which leads to one of the biggest fraud investigations in the industry's history. the investigation develops into a theory of corruption and conspiracy involving organized crime, the casino industry and the government itself. the plot's concept is not only about the investigation, but also in regard to the story's main character, sammy mcshanne's personal needs in life. during the course of the case, sam develops suspicions that there may be more to the investigation than meets the eye and after the death of two casino employees, he realizes what may be at stake. as they say and as sam will learn, life is not always fair. when face with the health problems of his first born child and the ongoing investigation mcshanne feels as if the rug is being pulled out from under him. the paranoia of his personal problems and the possibility of losing credit for the case has made sam feel as if he is a black cat with nothing but bad luck. the storyline follows a conspiracy twist involving millions of dollars being removed from the main suspect's casino account. as a result, the fbi intervenes with the missing casino funds tracking it to florida and then to the bahamas. every crime has a hidden truth behind it. finding the answers to satisfy the truth is only in the eyes of the beholder. while based on certain facts this is a fictional version of the events.
