Baby bird budget is a young panda bear that wants to become the smartest board game maker ever. she works hard on her "panda bear checkers," but when it comes time to explain the game in class, she freezes. she forgets what she's supposed to say and is later taunted for it by the school bullies. they don't understand she is unique in her learning style. still upset, baby bird is sent to her grandpa, the duke of budget. he has an idea. he will take baby bird on an adventure to eleven zoos--the homes of the counts, the smartest panda bears in the world.at each zoo, a count will tell her a story that will improve her game, but it's baby bird's job to make their words come true. with their help, she must learn to overcome shyness, rebuild her thinking skills, and win the board game challenge. this is the journey of a lifetime as baby bird pursues her dream, moving beyond setbacks to victory.
