Aster dumosus Snow Cushion - Michaelmas Daisy - Plant in 9cm Pot
Asters have recently been renamed Symphyotrichum, however as this is such new change, we have retained the old name in the title
Asters are widely distributed through European mountains, from the Pyrenees and Alps, to the Carpathians, on to western Asia (Turkey), the Caucasus, Siberia and Central Asia (Kazakhstan). The Michaelmas Daisy Asters have been cultivated in the Uk for centuries and make a wonderful and spectacular contribution to the late summer and autumn border. Snow Cushion has extra long, pure white petals forming semi double flowers with yellow centers and dainty foliage. Excellent for front of border and particularly effective in groups. All but the smallest herbaceous borders would be incomplete without at least one Michaelmas Daisy
Can be planted in a pot or other container. Use a good quality compost and ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer. We recommend Osmoscote pro 5-6 month applied in the early spring. One application gives all the nutrients the plant requires for the whole year.
