Axe 42 with Snake Chain - Silver

Delicate, intricately decorated Viking axe pendant with a matching snake chain made of 925 sterling silver. The elegant necklace is approximately 0.8 mm thick. We offer four different lengths: 41 cm, 51 cm, 61 cm, and 66 cm. The decoration is located on both sides of the pendant and is blackened to ensure optimal visibility. Dimensions: approximately 18 mm high x approximately 11 mm wide The loop is oval: approximately 3.7 mm high and approximately 2.2 mm wide (inner diameter) Weight: approximately 1.4 g Background: Axes were an indispensable part of everyday Viking life. In addition to simple work axes, the Viking Age saw the development of increasingly specialized battle axes, which were very thin and sharp. The axe blades were often richly decorated, so the weapons were also used for ceremonial occasions.
