Balanced Yarn Mallets Maple Handle

Crafted for clarity and comfort in early learning, these mallets combine yarn-wrapped heads with solid maple shafts to achieve warm tonal response and intuitive playability. Total length approx. 39 cm; head diameter approx. 1.8 cm; weight per mallet approx. 65–70 g — calibrated for beginner hand strength and developing coordination. The yarn wrapping ensures even contact and reduced high-frequency harshness, while the dense yet lightweight maple handle offers torsional stability and natural feedback during stroke execution. Surface finish is sanded smooth for tactile security without added coatings or varnish. Used across UK school music curricula and youth ensembles, they support method-based learning (e.g., Keetman, Beyer, or Marimba One fundamentals), enabling clean articulation at pianissimo to mezzo-forte dynamics and seamless transitions between single strokes, double strokes, and rolls.
