Barbed To NPT PVC Adapters

Each adapter features a 12 mm inner diameter barbed end (16 mm outer diameter) and a female 1/4 inch NPT thread. Overall length approx. 2.5 cm; weight approx. 15 g per unit. Made from rigid, chlorine-tolerant PVC — suited for cold water, pool circulation lines, drip irrigation feeders and low-pressure utility connections. The barbed section grips flexible polyethylene (PE) tubing securely via radial compression, while the NPT thread delivers standardised mechanical sealing against tapered male threads — together forming a stable, re-usable junction without adhesives or tools. Commonly used to link PE pool liner hoses to threaded pump inlets, connect timer-controlled solenoid valves to garden drip lines, or adapt compressed-air tools to PVC manifold blocks in hobbyist workshops.
