By adding the Celestron Tabletop Tripod to your NexStar Evolution or NexStar SE telescope, you can do away with your full-height tripod and benefit from the simplicity of grab-and-go viewing. This lightweight, durable, and portable equipment is half as big and heavy as a typical tripod, making it ideal for travel. While the practical tabletop shape makes it easier for some viewers (especially kids) to approach the eyepiece, the low-profile legs and wide footprint improve stability. Compared to a full-height tripod, setup is quick and simple. Just set the Tabletop Tripod down on a seat, tailgate, camp table, or any other flat surface.  Because of its small footprint (17.5" x 16"), you may use it almost anywhere.  Open the tripod legs, level them, then secure the mount and telescope before observing. To make sure your setup is level before attaching the telescope, the Tabletop Tripod incorporates a bubble leveller on the mount plate and adjustable knobs on each leg. The Tabletop Tripod includes three captured screws on the underside of the mount plate, just like the regular tripod on the NexStar SE and NexStar Evolution, so you can firmly lock your mount and telescope in place. The Tabletop Tripod& 39;s legs fold inward and tuck neatly beneath the mount plate when not in use, for simple transportation and storage.
