Ceramic Disc Stainless Cartridge

1255 replacement cartridge engineered for Moen single-handle kitchen and bathroom faucets. Measures 78 mm in total length with 22 mm diameter stem section; net weight 85 g. Core assembly combines a stainless steel central valve stem, precision-ground ceramic friction discs, and reinforced polymer housing. Fully compatible with Moen’s original mounting geometry and torque specifications. Ceramic disc technology ensures consistent rotational resistance over time — resisting scaling and abrasion from UK mains water (typically medium-hardness). The stainless steel stem maintains alignment under repeated actuation, preventing lateral play that causes leakage paths around the cartridge body. Internal sealing surfaces are moulded to replicate OEM tolerances for drip-free operation. Use cases include restoring aged kitchen taps showing cold-water-only output or delayed hot response, fixing bathroom basin faucets with intermittent dripping after handle release, or supporting certified installers during bathroom/kitchen refurbishments where original parts are discontinued but fixtures remain sound.
