Choisya ternata Sundance - Mexican Orange Blossom - Plant in 9cm Pot
A very popular and widely grown plant of considerable merit. Clusters of beautiful white flowers with a truly delightful fragrance resembling the fragrance of Orange blossom are produced on in spring and again in autumn. The flowers are smaller and less profusely produced than on the green ternata but still very attractive. The beautiful three lobed yellow strongly aromatic leaves are an all year attraction and are the main reason this plant is so popular. Easy to grow and despite its potential size it is very tolerant of pruning. This plant gives an 'exotic' effect and can be used in a mixed planting or as a stand alone specimen in the garden or can easily be grown in a pot or other container. Use a good quality John Innes compost as this plant will be there a long time and peaty types of compost eventually degrade, become too packed and choke the roots. Ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer. We recommend Osmoscote pro 12-14 month applied in the early spring. One application gives all the nutrients the plant requires for the whole year. John Innes is a soils based compost. ..
