Codenames Word Association Game

Codenames is a strategic word-based party game for 2–8 players aged 10 and up. The game includes a 5×5 grid of 25 word cards, two spymaster clue cards, 40 agent cards (20 red, 20 blue), one assassin card, and instructions. The board measures approximately 25 × 25 cm and the full set weighs around 320 g. Players are divided into two teams, each guided by a spymaster who gives single-word clues linked to multiple words on the grid. Teammates use logic and lateral thinking to deduce which words belong to their colour — red or blue — while avoiding the opposing team’s words and especially the lone assassin card. A round ends immediately if the assassin is guessed, resulting in instant loss for that team.
