Shortly after, however, MI5 discovers that a German spy is hiding in the town, giving the platoon a chance to effect real change in the war before it draws to a close. Toby Jones takes up the mantle of Captain Mainwaring, with fellow Home Guard members played by Bill Nighy, Michael Gambon, Tom Courtenay, Mark Gatiss, Blake Harrison, Daniel Mays and Bill Paterson.
