Dandelion 3D Crystal Paperweight

25–26 mm diameter sphere composed of K9 optical crystal and optically matched resin. The dandelion is positioned at the geometric centre, fully surrounded by resin before being encased in crystal—ensuring uniform light path and zero visual distortion. 3D laser engraving is performed post-casting using CNC-controlled galvo mirrors, achieving sub-50 micron feature resolution. Final polish removes machining marks while preserving engraved voxel integrity. Density: 2.5 g/cm³ (crystal) + 1.15 g/cm³ (resin) → total mass supports document anchoring without risk of tipping or sliding. Edges are fully rounded per BS EN ISO 14155:2020 ergonomic guidelines—safe for prolonged hand contact. Intended for users valuing craftsmanship transparency: each unit bears a batch-coded laser mark (not visible without magnification), traceable to production date and calibration logs—aligning with growing UK consumer preference for verifiable provenance over anonymous mass production.
