Dichroic Light Splitting Prism

Exact size: 30 x 30 x 30 mm. Net weight: approx. 85 g. Crafted from K9 artificial crystal glass — a standard optical material widely used in European laboratories for its predictable refractive index and low dispersion error. Each unit undergoes multi-stage mechanical and hand polishing, followed by individual naked-eye inspection and fine edge finishing to guarantee surface uniformity and angular accuracy. The prism exhibits strong dichroic behaviour: incident white light is selectively reflected and transmitted based on incidence angle, producing vivid, shifting hues across its six faces. Colours change continuously as the viewer moves — no external power or electronics required. Intended solely for non-imaging applications: classroom optics demonstrations, university research setups, museum display pieces, creative studio props or interior décor accents. Not suitable for integration into camera lenses, projector optics or any system requiring collimated beam manipulation.
