The TSL2591 light sensor is an advanced digital light sensor suitable for various light conditions. Compared to low-cost cadmium sulfide cells, this sensor offers higher accuracy, allowing precise calculations and configurable gain/timing ranges, with a detection range from 188 uLux up to 88,000 Lux. It contains both infrared and full-spectrum diodes, enabling measurement of infrared, full-spectrum, and visible light. The sensor features a dynamic range of 600 million:1. Please note that, compared to the TSL2561, the 7-bit I2C address (0x29) of this sensor cannot be changed. The board includes a voltage regulator and operates within a voltage range of 3.3V to 5.0V. This integrated device is compatible with any microcontroller, even without an analog input. Active sensing current is 0.4mA, and less than 5μA in standby mode. The device has extremely low power consumption, making it ideal for low-power data logging systems.
