Digitalis lutea - Foxglove, Plant in 9cm Pot
Indigenous to much of northen Europe, the Foxglove has been part of our shady garden and countryside locations for centuries. Lutea is one of the most reliable of Foxgloves. Slightly glossy rich green basal leaves produce stout stems clothed with soft yellow, trumpet shaped flowers with purple brown blotches on the inside. Easy to grow in shady and woodland locations and attractive to bees. This plant can be used in a mixed planting and is excellent as a back of border subject.or as a stand alone specimen in the garden or a container. If planting in a pot or other container. Use a good quality compost. Ensure you feed regularly as a hungry plant is a poor performer. We recommend Osmoscote pro 5-6 month applied in the early spring. One application gives all the nutrients the plant requires. Be sure to place in a shady location.
