DM556 Stepper Driver 8-Level Current

The DM556 is a digitally controlled stepper motor driver suited for professional-grade automation in the UK and European markets. It supports a DC input voltage range of 24V–50V and provides eight distinct output current settings from 1.0A to 5.6A, adjusted in precise 0.5A steps. Its bipolar constant-current PWM drive architecture ensures efficient, thermally stable motor control. Input signals — including pulse, direction and enable — are fully optically isolated, permitting safe operation at up to 200kHz pulse frequency. The unit measures 12 × 7.8 × 3.5 cm and combines a multilayer PCB with an ABS enclosure for durability and heat dissipation. With >500MΩ insulation resistance and 500V/min dielectric strength, it meets functional safety requirements for embedded use in CE-compliant machinery. Its low-noise, vibration-free low-speed performance makes it ideal for engraving, textile cutting, and automated test equipment.
