Connect the modem to your computer's USB port. Connect the telephone line to the modems phone port. If connecting a telephone, plug the wall line into the phone, then use a second line from the phones extension jack to the modem. 2. Install the driver: Insert the driver CD into your computer. For systems other than Win7, manually install the driver by browsing to the cx-fu07+/wpxp folder on the CD. Win7 and later systems may install the driver automatically. 3. Install fax software: On Win7, go to Control Panel > Devices and Printers > FAX > Fax Settings, and enable sending and receiving. On XP, install the fax component first via Add/Remove Programs.
