H. A. Dorfman has worked in education and psychology as a teacher counselor coach and consultant. In 1999 Dorfman became a full-time consultant in sport psychology for the Scott Boras Corporation an agency that represents professional baseball players. With Karl Kuehl he wrote The Mental Game of Baseball. He is the author of The Mental ABC's of PitchingThe Mental Keys to Hitting and Coaching the Mental Game. His trilogy of anecdotal memoirs includes Persuasion of My Days and Copying it Down.
