Elastic EPDM Insulation Seal 6M

6-metre black EPDM rubber insulation seal strip, 10 mm wide × 3 mm thick, approx. 180 g. Produced from medical-grade EPDM elastomer with controlled density and compression modulus. Features aggressive, low-surface-energy acrylic adhesive designed for immediate grab and long-term bond integrity on low-energy substrates like uPVC and powder-coated metal. Functions as a multi-role building envelope component: thermal break, acoustic damper, and weather barrier. Its molecular structure enables repeated compression/recovery cycles without permanent set — essential for frequently opened windows and swing doors. Reduces convective heat loss measured in W/m²K, supports Part L compliance pathways, and contributes to reduced overheating risk in summer via humidity exclusion. Effective sound absorption targets frequencies between 500 Hz–4 kHz — covering human speech, traffic rumble, and wind-induced resonance. Supplied in one continuous length with factory-square cut ends for precise, waste-free measuring and cutting.
