This high-quality replacement splinter guard strip is designed for Festool FS/2, FS/2 KP, and FSK guide rails and compatible rail saws. Made from durable, transparent soft rubber with a strong adhesive backing, it ensures a secure, long-lasting fit to your guide rail. Periodically replacing the splinter guard maintains perfectly splinter-free cuts, especially when switching between materials or using the rail with multiple saws. The clear design enhances cutting line visibility, while the precise alignment helps prevent tearing during parallel and lateral cuts, saving valuable setup time. Easy to install: simply clean the rail surface with acetone to remove grease and old adhesive, then apply the new strip. The guard is pre-cut to reflect the exact cutting edge for accurate placement at your scribe mark. Note: For best results, ensure the working surface is clean to avoid dust or debris on the adhesive. Use a shovel and acetone to remove any remaining adhesive before installation. When reapplying, you can offset the guard slightly to allow for a fresh cutting edge.
