The Optical Dust Sensor (GP2Y1010AU0F) is designed to detect airborne particles, including smoke, and is commonly used in air quality monitoring applications. This sensor features an infrared LED and a phototransistor arranged diagonally to detect light scattered by dust particles in the air. It operates with low current consumption (maximum 20 mA, typical 11 mA) and supports a supply voltage of 5–7 VDC.
