What would you do if your whole life changed drastically in an instant and it appeared as though you were totally out of control? what would you do if you felt like you were living your worst nightmare? what would you do in a seemingly hopeless situation? grateful is an inspiring, enlightening, and genuine response to those questions and more! it is a collection of thoughts and comments from the author and several of her family members (biological and spiritual), friends, and coworkers concerning their encounter with autoimmune encephalitis: a devastating, mind-boggling, life-threatening illness. the author asked that they respond to the following inquiries and they did in their own, unique way: please tell about your experience with autoimmune encephalitis. what life lessons did you learn from watching your loved one go through such a devastating and life-threatening illness? what advice would you like to give to others? grateful was written to testify of the miraculous things god did and increase awareness about this so-called "rare" and "mysterious" illness. to god be the glory!
