Requires DC power supply between 5V and 20V; when powered at 5V, minimum 2A current must be supplied. Power options include 2.54mm pitch pin header or micro-USB port. Serial communication uses UART TTL-level signalling (compatible with 3.3V and 5V logic systems). Default baud rate is adaptive, with full support across 2400–115200 bps. Accepts micro-SIM cards only. Antenna connection options: SMA and IPX. Audio input via 3.5mm mono microphone jack. Rated operating temperature: -45°C to +80°C. Functional capabilities include sending/receiving SMS, making and receiving voice calls, establishing GPRS data sessions, executing HTTP requests, detecting DTMF tones, recording audio, using Bluetooth for peripheral pairing, and converting text to speech. Engineered for seamless compatibility with Arduino and Raspberry Pi, this board serves as a complete cellular gateway for smart agriculture sensors, fleet trackers, emergency alert systems, and interactive kiosks — wherever standalone wireless voice and data are essential.
