Handmade Boho Tapestry With Feathers

A traditionally knotted cotton macrame wall hanging, featuring woven feathers, smooth wooden beads, and natural wooden mounting sticks. Dimensions: 60 cm wide × 90 cm tall; weight: approx. 380 g. Cotton yarn is undyed, medium-thickness, and pre-washed to prevent shrinkage or linting. Wooden sticks are kiln-dried ash wood; beads are hand-turned lime wood, both finished with food-grade mineral oil only. The piece uses a base grid of 24 vertical cords, with knot rows spaced at 4–6 cm intervals to balance density and airiness. Feathers are embedded into double-wrapped half-hitch sections near the hem; beads are strung on isolated cords at mid-height to break linearity and guide the eye vertically. Developed with UK interior needs in mind: works with cooler ambient lighting, complements muted paint palettes (e.g., Farrow & Ball ‘Elephant’s Breath’ or ‘Skimming Stone’), and suits rental-friendly setups — requires only two small nails or picture hooks, no drilling or heavy-duty anchors.
