The MCP2551 is a high-speed CAN transceiver that serves as a CAN protocol controller and physical bus interface. It provides differential receiver capability for the CAN protocol controller and fully complies with the ISO-11898 standard, including 24V operation. Each node on the CAN system requires a device to convert the digital signal from the CAN controller into a signal suitable for bus transmission. The device includes protection buffers between the CAN controller and high-voltage spikes on the CAN bus, which may originate from external sources. It supports an operating rate of up to 1 Mbps. It meets the physical layer requirements of the ISO-11898 standard. Compatible with both 12V and 24V systems. Features slope control for reduced RFI. Automatically detects ground faults at the TXD input. Includes power-on reset and undervoltage protection. Power-up or undervoltage conditions do not affect the CAN bus. Low-current standby operation. Supports up to 112 nodes. Material: Metal. Dimensions: 18 x 15 mm. Color: Purple. Quantity: 1 pc. Package includes: 1 x CAN Transceiver Module.
