Hydronic Floor Heating Flow Meter

Thread specification: G1/2 BSP male inlet/outlet. Includes G1/2 to G3/4 adapter. Overall length approx. 75 mm; diameter approx. 22 mm. Weight approx. 180 g. Flow range: 0.2–3.0 GPM, linearly scaled for quick interpretation. Construction: precision-machined brass housing; stainless steel float, stem and flow tube — selected for longevity in recirculating hot water systems. Installed at each circuit outlet on an underfloor heating manifold, this meter gives instant feedback on volumetric flow. Paired with isolation gate valves, it forms the basis of manual hydraulic balancing — a fundamental requirement to achieve even floor surface temperatures and avoid overheating in short loops or cold zones in extended runs. Suitable for use with standard UK-compliant PEX-AL-PEX or PE-RT tubing layouts, and compatible with both combi-boiler and heat pump-driven underfloor systems operating within typical domestic parameters.
