Lamberts L-Arginine is a pure, free-form amino acid that is readily absorbed by the body without the need to be broken down by digestive enzymes. Each tablet provides a total of 1000 mg of L-Arginine HCl. Arginine is considered a non-essential amino acid, although it is "essential under certain conditions" where the body would not be able to synthesize it in sufficient quantities, such as during periods of rapid growth, trauma, and other physical stresses. The body uses arginine to synthesize nitric oxide (NO), a substance that relaxes blood vessels. Arginine is involved in the body's elimination of ammonia, a waste product of nitrogen metabolism. It is recommended to take one tablet daily with water or fruit juice. Do not exceed the expressly recommended daily dose. Amino acids are best taken half an hour before any meal, or just before going to bed. Food supplements should not be used as a substitute for a balanced diet and a healthy lifestyle. Do not take by pregnant or breastfeeding women. Store in a cool, dry place, protected from light and out of the reach of young children.
