Professor Weissinger earned his doctorate in sociology from New York University Graduate School of Arts and Science and was a former criminal investigator with the legacy Immigration and Naturalization Service. He also served as a Sr. US Parole Officer supervising organized crime offenders in the Eastern District of New York.
