This adapter card is compatible with MacBook Pro A1708 (2016 and 2017 models) only. The adapter converts 2230 / 2242 NVMe SSDs for use in MacBook Pro A1708, A1707, and A1706 models. Due to the thickness limitation of the A1708 notebook, this riser card supports only Key M NVMe SSDs with 2230 or 2240 length and single-sided chips. Plug and play — no software driver required. This product supports PCIe x4 AHCI or NVMe SSDs in 2230 or 2242 size with M.2 NGFF interface, and PCIe x2 AHCI or NVMe SSDs in 2230 or 2242 size.
