Turn the timer knob back counterclockwise to the minutes (number) you want it to ring. If you do not complete these 2-step procedures, the timer will NOT ring.2. [80dB SOUND ALARM]: The mechanical timer will emit 80 decibel sound alarm and will last for 3 seconds + 30 milliseconds (test distance 0.98 feet) when the time is up, the alarm sound is audible within a distance of at least 29.5 feet (9 m). Different floors are NOT RECOMMENDED to use. Tested under OPEN, straight distance ratio, NOT noisy location. DIFFERENT usage/testing conditions may vary, ACTUAL usage conditions apply.3.
