When in use, charge the primary coil first, and self‑induct a voltage of 200‑300V in the primary coil; then generate a high voltage of 18‑20kV by mutual inductance with the secondary coil.<br> 3. The magnitude of the voltage generated depends on the turns ratio of the two coils, and finally the high‑voltage electricity is delivered to the spark plugs for ignition.<br> 4.
