Blistex Lip Ointment is an advanced moisture system that delivers penetrating medication to relieve cold sores and severe lip dryness. It contains four medications to provide relief from pain, itching and discomfort of lip sores and blisters. The ointment hydrates and softens lip cells to alleviate cracking and dryness, clinically proven to elevate lip moisture and heal dry, chapped lips. Beauty professionals use it as a lipstick base, applying liberally, leaving on for five minutes, then removing excess and applying color. Uses include temporary relief of pain and itching associated with minor lip irritations or cold sores, and temporarily protecting and relieving chapped or cracked lips.
