MFR012 Cabinet Humidity Controller

The MFR012 is a dedicated electromechanical humidity controller for preventing condensation in industrial and commercial electrical cabinets. Its dimensions are 67 x 50 x 38 mm, housed in light grey UL94 V-0 plastic with IP20 protection. It mounts easily on 35 mm DIN rails (EN 50022) in any orientation and functions across 0–60 °C ambient temperatures. Storage range is −20–+80 °C. The unit activates connected heaters once relative humidity exceeds 65%, using a precise electromechanical sensing element with 4% RH hysteresis (±3% tolerance). It features a change-over contact capable of switching 250 V AC / 5 A resistive loads or 1 A inductive loads, with minimum ratings of 20 V AC / 100 mA DC and 20 W DC. Terminals accommodate solid wire up to 2.5 mm² or ferruled stranded wire up to 1.5 mm² at 0.5 Nm torque. Ideal for protecting PLCs, HMIs, motor starters and metering gear in humid environments — including UK data closets, food processing control rooms, wastewater pump stations and offshore wind turbine cabinets — where unchecked condensation causes insulation failure, tracking or terminal corrosion.
