Non-Woven Compatible Double-Sided Hem Tape

A hot-melt mesh hemming tape explicitly validated for use with non-woven fabrics — including interfacing, fusible fleece, and craft-grade synthetics — as well as woven and knit textiles. Dimensions: 10 mm wide × 5 m long. Offers balanced adhesion strength, low-temperature activation, and superior air permeability. Maintains softness and flexibility post-bonding, with no hardening or brittleness over time. Unlike solvent-based or pressure-sensitive tapes, this product relies purely on thermal energy to achieve fusion — resulting in a clean, permanent, and wash-resistant join. Its mesh format ensures even heat distribution and prevents localised overheating, which is critical when laminating dissimilar materials (e.g., cotton + non-woven lining) or heat-sensitive substrates. Widely applied in UK home economics classrooms, alteration workshops, and small-scale garment manufacturing for tasks such as attaching facings, reinforcing pocket openings, edging appliqués, and constructing reusable shopping bags. Recommended for use with domestic irons equipped with adjustable thermostats — always verify suitability via test patch before final application.
