Open-Source CAN FD USB Analyzer

MKS CANable V2.0 is an open-hardware USB-to-CAN interface supporting CAN 2.0A/B and CAN FD protocols. Measuring 50 × 25 × 12 mm and weighing approximately 15 g, it features an ABS enclosure and uses the STM32G431C8T6 ARM Cortex-M4 processor (170 MHz). Communication occurs over a Type-C USB port, presenting either as a virtual serial port (slcan) or native CAN interface (candleLight). Baud rates reach 1 Mbps for classical CAN and up to 5 Mbps for CAN FD. A jumper-selectable 120 Ω termination resistor supports flexible bus configuration. Designed for cross-platform use, it integrates smoothly with Linux, Windows, macOS and ARM SBCs such as Raspberry Pi and BeagleBone. Includes USB cable, 3-pin Dupont cable and full technical documentation — schematics, firmware and host software.
