Ecoidees ORGANIC Indian Quinoa has a history, a beautiful and touching history. That of hope given back to farming communities in North-East India, in the Bundelkhand region of Uttar Pradesh.
This region, decimated by drought, has become dramatically impoverished, to the point where the precariousness of the peasants has become a national cause.
It is recommended to consume like semolina or rice, at the rate of about one cup of dry quinoa grains per person. Rinse in a fine colander. Count 1 volume of quinoa for 2 volumes of water or vegetable broth. Cook for about 10 to 15 minutes, for crunchier or more tender grains. Enjoy your meal.
